In life we have many challenges, and I think the only way forward is to improve our thinking. Therefore, we need to learn how the brain functions, and how to improve its functionality for a better life. I am beginning a series with my friend about the brain. Our goal is to enlighten people about the power of the brain, and how it can unlock any problem. The video below is the intro.

What makes a star?

Sometimes I wonder why some people excel at particular things. Be it sports or at their work place. One thinks of Micheal Jordan, the great basketball player or Steve Jobs, the brain behind apple inventions. The immense success that follows such individuals is triggered by their self-confidence and mastery of their trade. These individuals enjoy what they do, hence their natural talents bring out the best in their craft.

Look for a trade that you can master and fulfills personal ambitions, and this will be a the right road to success.
Natural talent will make one stand out.

UNITY

The world has come a long way. It is nice to see unity amongst fellow man, especially when it comes to the frivolous white and black division of the past. It is good the old mindset in the western world is diminishing. The wounds caused by discrimination are slowly healing in different parts of the world. Take for example, South Africa, which has changed since the rise of Nelson Mandela in the early 90's, gone are the days of apartheid. Where oppression was as relevant as the sun rising. The spirit of South Africa has been raised, and the fact that they are hosting the World Cup shows how far they have come.

Unity is needed to face any challenges in the world. The wounds of 9/11 would have been permanent, if it was not for unity. Americans got together and the healing begun slowly but surely. The recent calamity in Haiti was atrocious, but seeing the world unite for their cause is something very positive. People from all corners of the world are coming together to bring hope to the victims of Haiti.  Haiti will rise from the dust, and the tears from the earthquake will turn from tears of sorrow to tears of joy after a battle well won.

CELEBRATE LIFE

The value of life is something not take for granted. Our life is precious  and waking up every morning with a new breath of air  is a miracle.

So many have past along like the youth. What wrong did they do? Some things are left unanswered.
To hear about an ambitious young man lose his life to a heart condition after playing basketball, and an exuberant young lady lose her life to cancer, makes one appreciate life more. Both young adults were
goal- oriented and had bright futures ahead of them, after acquiring nursing and dental degrees respectively. Unfortunately the script was written differently, and their lives were cut short. Life is short, therefore one should celebrate life everyday.

We should all strive to make the most of our lives, and express love to those around us. Without love the world can not move forward.
